My life’s work is devoted to helping you

win without losing yourself.

As a well-being strategist, mental health advocate, speaker, and sound meditation practitioner, Chivon John is devoted to reshaping our approach to well-being. With over a decade of being an inspiring voice in the wellness industry, she knows firsthand the importance of showing up for our individual and communal needs

Her insights and work has positioned her as a speaker, organizational wellbeing strategist and advisor for individuals and organizations seeking to maximize success through wellness. With certifications in Global DEI Strategy, Mental Health First Aid and Positive Psychology, her efforts amplify her role as a mental health advocate, as she spearheads organization-wide initiatives aimed at supporting collective well-being. As self-care is often believed to be an individual undertaking, Chivon challenges this idea, concluding that healing is best achieved when provided through ecosystems of care.

The Truths That Shape My Approach

  • Well-being is the foundation of everything we do.

  • Self-compassion is an underrated strategy for sustainability.

  • You can’t outrun, outperform, or outwork your self-image.

  • Ambition belongs to your whole life — not just your career, and it should fuel you, not deplete you.

  • Loving what you do doesn’t make you immune to burnout.

  • Mental health isn’t just about how we cope — it’s about what reckoning with what we are forced to cope with.

  • True resilience isn’t just about enduring — it’s about recovering, replenishing, and allowing yourself to be supported.

  • Exhaustion isn’t just the result of doing too much — it’s often the weight of carrying too much, for too long.

  • There is no future of work, without well workers and communities.
  • “Shouting ‘self-care’ at people who actually need ‘community care’ is how we fail people.” – Nakita Valerio

Official Bio

Chivon John is a multidisciplinary well-being practitioner who partners with individuals, leaders and teams to strengthen sustainable performance, capacity and culture.

Her work focuses on the dimensions of wellbeing that are often hardest to name, but most felt in practice like building a rest-ethic that matches our ambition, redefining resilience through recovery instead of ‘pushing through’ and acknowledging the unseen emotional and systemic weights that influence our capacity to show up at work and in life.

Today Chivon is building a wellness ecosystem under the umbrella of Travel Light, which is guided by the mantra that “just because you carry it well, doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy.” Through this message and method, she designs experiences, programs, and content that help ambitious and mission driven leaders learn to lighten their load and hold what matters.

When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her immersed in her passion for fitness, facilitating a sound bath, or getting lost in a book.
